This Privacy Policy explains how SnarkBoard ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the SnarkBoard iOS app, the SnarkBoard Chrome extension, and the SnarkBoard web site (collectively the "Services"). We designed SnarkBoard to transform text locally and intentionally minimize data collection.
All "SnarkCase" transformations occur on-device (in the iOS app, the browser, or the extension context). Your raw text is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate a backend for the core transformation.
The iOS app may optionally produce crash logs collected by Apple (via TestFlight or App Store distribution). These logs may contain anonymous technical metadata (device type, OS version, stack traces) but never the transformed or original text content.
The Chrome extension may request permissions strictly necessary to read and transform selected text or clipboard data on user action. We do not harvest browsing history. Clipboard access (if requested) is only used immediately to transform and optionally write back text.
The web app stores no tracking cookies. Minimal local storage may be used in the future for preference settings (e.g., theme). These values never leave your device.
At this time we intentionally avoid third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If this changes, the policy will be updated and you will have an opt-out choice where legally required.
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect personal data, cross‑border transfer concerns are minimized. Any optional future telemetry would be regionally appropriate and privacy-preserving.
We may update this Policy for clarity or compliance. Material changes will be dated above. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance.
